Henry John Meyerhofer married Florence Margaret Gulick April 8, 1939 . They were married in the home of the bride's parents in Maumee, Lucas County, Ohio. Florence was born April 29,1912 in Wyandotte, Michigan. Henry John and Florence lived at 1927 Glendale Avenue, Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio.

Hank continued to work as an architect for the firm of George B. Rheinfrank, Britsch & Munger, and Peterson, Hoffman & Associates until 1946. Between 1947 and 1949 Hank operated his own Architectural firm.

Hank and Florence loved to fish. They usually rented a small rowboat and fished for perch in Lake Erie or Devil's Lake. They usually stopped after catching a few dozen so they didn't have to clean to many.
Florence was active in the Girl Scouts while Ann was growing up. Hank and Florence both manned the popcorn stand at the Maumee High School football games.
Hank and Florence didn't like to travel far from home. They traveled to New York to visit Niagara Falls and to Hawaii to celebrate there twenty-fifth anniversary.
Hank loved to tell corny jokes. He was the "King of Corn". There was never a cuss word in any of them. Hank was always a gentleman. Florence and Hank were very classy individuals.
Hank and Florence lived on Key Street in Maumee for many years. In 1958, Ann Meyerhofer graduated from Maumee High School.
In 1950 until 1975 Hank worked as an architect for Owens Illinois in Toledo, Ohio. Hank retired in 1975. They lived at 1133 Elco Dr., Maumee, Lucas County, Ohio.

Henry John Meyerhofer died of lung cancer on October 11, 1977 at Lake Park Nursing Care Center where he was a patient for three weeks. He is buried in Toledo Memorial Park, (Lot No. 95, Section 1, Grave 3).
